OpenOffice problems with equation editor

Hello,

I recently started to have a problem with the OpenOffice equation editor:

If I create a file with equations (say, a Writer document) and save it, then close/open it, all equations are replaced by 'Object X' icons and are not accessible. It is happening with images as well.

Strangely, it happens only with my user! If I create a test-user there isn't problem.

Any ideas? I haven't used OpenOffice in quite a while so I don't know when it started. I'm using go-openoffice 3.1.1.3-1 on x86_64 Arch.

Thanks!

PS: maybe this is a divine sign move to LaTeX for scientific writing! move to LaTeX!? big_smile

I've had this problem too, but using this:

seemed to solve it for me, even though other issues arose from that too.(couldn't load some .docs)

I'm experiencing this issue with OpenOffice 3.2.1. Does anyone know of a solution?

Please don't bump, especially intentionally. Things have probably changed alot since then. If you would open up a new thread, your problem would most likely get solved. smile
