I've been trying to install LVM through the use of the installer; I know I could just install everything and create this later but I figure I should be able to do it this way.
Every time I set up my devices, all the other partitions are correctly set up, but when it gets to my LVM setup (which spans two drives) I get
Failed to read physical volume
errors for both of those partitions
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
**And for what it's worth, I made a mistake the last time on my setup of filesystems and hit cancel to start over, which didn't cancel but went ahead and set them up wrong. --sigh--
I also found that if I mess up on the label/name for the lvm-lv and try to edit it to fix it, when I hit OK I get
ERROR: ask_number $4 must be a number! not 5000M
and it dumps me out to the command prompt.

Maybe it' because of this:
From official install guide:
"AIF currently doesn't help you creating
volumegroups that span multiple physical
volumes. (if you need this -unlikely- : use
vgcreate)"
I've run into same problem.

duh - when in doubt, read the directions.
Thanks for the pointer.
