Hi.
I would like to mirror arch, on my server. How can I do this? I do not wish to be an official mirror though. Just to get all the packages. Also. Approx. how much space will it take?

Although. That doesn't really tell you how much space it will take up.

70gb for both arches and core/testing/extra/community I think.

Why do you want to "get all the packages"? You won't use even half of them.

Well. I am going to use this mirror to create an arch server edition. Getting the latest stable packages from source. Along with other packages not needed for the average server. This mirror will use older packages that are considered stable. This is what debian does. But because of rc.conf, the other conf files, and pacman, I will not be using debian. Soon I will be getting a nice dedicated server.

OK.. but you haven't answered my question. If anything, you have indicated that you will only be using a fraction of the packages available on the mirrors. So again.. why do you want them all? Why not just get the ones you'll actually be using?

Yes. I will only be using some packages. What is the best way to pick and choose?
