Partitioning

what partition do i write tthe partition table to and do i set the boot or root  partition as bootable.should i set boot before root


im going to try this setup

/boot 500 mb
/root 10 gb
tmp 5gb
/var 5 gb
/home 95 gb
/swap 3 gb

should i change there order of the partitions

Erm, you don't write the partition table to a partition -- you write it to the drive itself.  For example, if your partitions are /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2 etc, the partition table is written to /dev/sda.  This should be handled automatically by whatever you're using to set up the partition table (fdisk/cfdisk, gparted, etc.).

You don't need to set any partitions as bootable to boot linux, and the order doesn't really matter except I find it convenient to put /boot first.
