white rectangle at startup

Hi, after the splash screen i see a white rectangle in the up-left corner. It evanesces after about 5seconds.
Do you know what's it? tanks

Do you have an Intel graphics card?  If so, it's just the little display that shows your brightness and volume and stuff when it changes.  The firmware patch X applies to your card when you boot (the one that lets you use widescreen resolution) screws it up.  As far as I know, there's no fix for it or anything like that.

yes, i've a gma x3100.
So i will found a fix in the intel driver.

edit: i've tried to install xf86-video-intel-newest by yaourt but it remains, advices?

I got the same issues, i am using kde 4.3

nvidia 6800 go (the latest drivers)

I've kde 4.3 too, do you have the plasmoid for view folder on desktop? or some plasmoid with superkaramba?
