[SOLVED]Submitting PKGBUILD error

I tried numerous times to submit my update PKGBUILD and it responds with the following:

 Submit
Unknown file format for uploaded file.

The file is "PKGBUILD". did I miss something, or is this a unique bug?

Solution:

makepkg --source

Submit the output of "makepkg --source" (a tar file), not the bare PKGBUILD.

Thanks, when did this change? When did the devs cut off the bare PKGBUILD file from submission?

The ability to upload standalone PKGBUILD files was recently removed from the AUR. See the log message of this commit.
