My compizfusion died after distupgrade

How can I remove compizfusion from autostart ? I can't get into xfce, so terminal access only.

Anyway to manually remove it from autostart?

Its been fine until I did a dist upgrade, now its just a white screen

I get an error "compiz failed to load text map plugin"

its probably in your .xinitrc
otherwise, take it out of the ~/.config/autostart folder.

Uninstall it, remove it from auto-start, and reinstall it (this should keep your user settings, but you can backup ~/.compiz if you think it might not).
