quickcam messenger problem :/

I just bought a quickcam messenger, and I can't seem to get it to work, I followed the wiki, and all the modules load fine, but no devices come up.. Then there's a twist in the whole thing, when I use hwd to detect my hardware, it detects the audio card as camera (wtf?).

Any way to fix this?

perhaps you need to load your hotplug-deamon? that's what I need atlest for my quickcam 4000 pro..
