Hello
I've recently changed the connection to my projector from vga to hdmi. After the change I've not been able to make nvidia sync to my projector (the secondary monitor) instead of my primary monitor. When using vga this was no such issue. I've tried changing the "Sync to this display device" to my secondary projector in nvidia-settings but it doesn't seem to give any effect, it still syncs to my primary monitor.
If i change the order my screens are attached to my graphics card this issue goes away, but then I wont see anything on my primary screen while starting my computer etc.
How do I make nvidia to sync against my secondary screen instead of my primary monitor?
Thanks
// Lasse

bump, no one have any ideas about this, I'm still looking, haven't found anything useful yet.

This might be of use:

Although it doesn't work for me. It's *still* syncing to VGA instead of DFP

Thanks for the reply, I've switched into using separate x-screen and some scripts to start mplayer etc. on my projector which I think works quite nice. With separate xscreens the issue goes away.

I've found another solution without using separate X screens and have posted it in the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … g_TwinView . I've tested it on Arch Linux with KDE and also on Kubuntu 11.04.
Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but it's in the top search results on Google and many will come here hoping for a solution.
