nicotine crash [SOLVED]

/usr is not a mounted filesystem.  / is a local device.  if i start nicotine with upload/download que and dont touch anything, it is stable (although the u/d bandwidth fluctuates like a cracked out 5 year old).  however, if i try running a search, i get this:

Sat 11:49 pynicotine.slskmessages.FileSearchResult unpack requires a string
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pynicotine/gtkgui/frame.py:3649: GtkWarning: Invalid text buffer iterator: either the iterator is uninitialized, or the characters/pixbufs/widgets in the buffer have been modified since the iterator was created.
You must use marks, character numbers, or line numbers to preserve a position across buffer modifications.
You can apply tags and insert marks without invalidating your iterators,
but any mutation that affects 'indexable' buffer contents (contents that can be referred to by character offset)
will invalidate all outstanding iterators
  gtk.main()
          argument of length 4
Segmentation fault

Re: nicotine crash [SOLVED]

also, nicotine is apparently searching the parent directory of my share folder.  i was able to correct this with chmod but that does not seem like an optimal solution.  can anyone provide an explanation for this odd behavior?

LOL @ the thread title tongue

When these sorts of things happen, it's best to check the developer's site for bugs:
