Complete Mounting Failure

For some reason, on my fresh Arch Linux install (I am 4 times experienced in a perfect install). My system mounts root as readonly, and refuses to remount the partition (mount -n -o remount,rw /). Also, no other drives mount automatically. I don't understand, because I compared the configs to the ones on *this* Arch Linux machine and they look good.

fdisk -l     http://pastebin.com/f1f6c8edd
lsmod      http://pastebin.com/f7981edac
fstab       http://pastebin.com/f4ff8d770
menu.lst  http://pastebin.com/f17d542d0
rc.conf    http://pastebin.com/f16b8f725

no dmesg because system can't write to /var/log during boot

Thank you

EDIT: I have a computer I am installing Arch on (failing one), while the computer I used to write this is also Arch Linux

Re: Complete Mounting Failure

First, what does this "notail" option in fstab? Remove it.

And what errors/messages are printed on the system console right before the boot process stops and you are prompted for root password or Ctrl+D? There must be some information regarding the reason of your problem.

Re: Complete Mounting Failure

I am fixing the fstab, but it takes a while I have to boot a live cd

During the rc.sysinit it prints that it is mounting root as read only. But I don't want to mess with that. The the rest is complaining about a read only file system. I have a feeling that the notail will fix it. I will also get rid of the defaults because they aren't in *this* computers fstab.
