the new xorg-server wants to remove my video driver, xf86-video-intel-legacy. However, if i remove it, i cant startx. will a new version of xf86-video-intel-legacy be released that i should wait for, or will i no longer be supported by the new xorg-server?

What's your graphics chipset? You may not need legacy ...

nvm, the non-legacy driver works for me now.
