I have this strange problem. Miro 2.5.3 doesn't work with any videos. It says something like "miro can not open this file. You may be able to play it with some other program" (I have miro in Finnish so it's a rough translation). I tried with both the xine and gstreamer backend. Same problem. Xine works fine with other programs and also with the files that miro can't play.
I haven't filed a bug report becouse I think this might be caused by my own stupidity.

Hi guys,
Just as a quick addition, the above didn't work for me,but ...
1) I did switch to gstreamer.
2) Still didn't work
3) Noticed other sound apps were broken (spotify)
4) Binned alsa, and installed oss instead.
5) Everything worked ok woop woop!
