My laptop shutdown instead of reboot

My laptop shutdown everytime i try to reboot. It does not mind if i use "reboot", "shutdown -r" or my window manager. The laptop never gets rebooted. It's a dell vostro 1400. Just Arch installed.

Any tips why this is happening?

Probably a broken BIOS, try updating.
