cannot upgrade to the new kernel

I have tried to update my system via "pacman -Syu". But the procedure fails due to a dependancy problem with the new kernel.

I get:

looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: broadcom-wl: requires kernel26<2.6.29

I obviously have to remove the broadcom-wl driver from my system and do the upgrade with a traditional lan cable. However I don't know how to remove the driver from the system. Can anybody help?
