ERROR: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds...

Trying to install on MSI Wind U100 netbook. Method used to install Unetbootin v377 with archlinux-2009.08-netinstall-i686.iso

I get this error when I'm booting in.

Waiting 30 seconds for device /dev/archiso ...

oops didn't see that. Although the problem still persist for me and a couple of others despite the solution in that thread. Maybe we can keep this thread for the unlucky ones still trying..

Did you try to use the arch img file directly (writing it to the stick using dd) instead of unetbootin?

I'm using Cygwin since I'm using Win7 on my Desktop PC.
I tried this but keep getting 'No such file or directory'

Well, we've all been beginners at one point. But what I don't understand is why, as a beginner, you decided to go for Arch, which is targeted at intermediate to competent Linux users.

The section I pointed to contains a "windows method". You could try that.
