Grub try to load the wrong disk: help!!

Hello,
yesterday i try the (bad, very very bad) idea to refresh my arch installation, after the first reboot the sistem have some problem to recognize the correct master disk!!!

The problem is that, at boot, grub not distinguish between the first master parallel ata and the only serial ata disk on the sistem and grub try to load from the serial ata and fail.

The very bad notice is that sometme the sistem load correctly the list of the driver and boot...

This is a problem tha i dont'have see in prev installation... some idea?

I have more information.

The machine is an Athlon 64 3200+ with 4 disk:
1) 60GB with linux installation (multiparted) ide primary master
2) 80GB (singleparted) ide primary slave
3) 40GB windows installation ide second master
4) the 160GB sata

If the sata disk is not connected the machine work correctly.

The chipset is an nVidia nForce2.

There is some change of kernel/grub that i missed ? sad
