skype backend question

Ok, so xine apparently works as a nice backend for my kde based arch install.  Everything works, minus the skype video window.  People can see me but I can't see them.  I'm looking around and trying to find out where skype specifies which video backend it's using, because it's apprently not being propagated by kde... Anyone have an idea where I should look for this?

Thanks in advance

I'm not quite sure what Badmatch means?
