Wacom xsetwacom utility crashes X

Hi,

I'm a new Arch user after three years of Ubuntu and I'm loving it. I've been setting up and configuring all weekend and it's going well and I appear to have only one problem.

I've installed the latest stable driver from AUR via yaourt (v 0.8.4-8). The stylus works fine. I can draw in gimp no issue.  I've configured the buttons of my wacom Intuos 3 tablet using xsetwacom. No errors doing that, but as soon as I press any tablet button, X crashes.

I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Yes, exactly same story again! I just updated kernel and now X crashes as long as I won't commend out Wacom drivers, this is annoying!
I am trying to rebuild linuxwacom because it's still not in community or extra
