Which Chromium package should I be using?

I'm a little unclear about what the second package is. Would they be the same version, but the second package downloads the binary instead of the source code?

The first builds chromium from source.

The second one repackages the google buildbot zipped chromium.

So is there no real difference? I take it the second one would be faster to update, would the first one offer any advantages?

EDIT: Also, I'm having some issues with file operations in Chromium (using the second link, currently). "Show in folder" and "open" do not work for downloaded files. I'm using Xfce with Thunar and Fileroller. Is there anything I can do to get that working?

well by building from source you will get some advantages like more speed or other new things.

I found the *-LATEST so much faster than firefox. I saw some discussion about why Chromium & X is so much faster on Linux than Chromium on Windows. It seems to be impressing a lot of people.

I recommend *-LATEST, see if you're disappointed. I makepkg about once per week and keep the previous package just in case I pick a bad build.
