Here is a tarball containing the patch and the source files needed to build samba-3.4.3 using makepkg for anyone who wants it. I built and tested this on my x86_64 machine running KDE. After installing the patched smbclient package, I can browse my network again!

Thanks again to codestation for finding the patch!

Greetings,
Thanks to codestation for finding the solution and dmartins for making the tarball!!
I'm not at home, so I can't test it right now.
Did this solution work to everybody else?
Can I change the title to Solved?

Well, I wouldn't consider it solved until there's an official package for Arch. Worked around yes, solved.. not yet.

Works for me too.
Despite not being an "official" solution, it did resolve the problem for everybody, AND we should consider that it's not an Arch issue, but upstream.
I also think that pointing "solved" shows another users that there is a solution to this problem.
Thanks again to codestation and dmartins.
Changing to [Solved].

Now it's really solved by the new package version: smbclient-3.4.3-3.
