why does d4x need esound as a dependency?

You see, I use wmii, and I need a download manager which can split the file to parts and download them simultaneously.
I found d4x to be nice but it installed esound with it.
esound is the Enlightened sound deamon of the gnome desktop. d4x is a download manager... why is a sound daemon needed for running a download manager?

Re: why does d4x need esound as a dependency?

You could pacman -Rd esound and see if d4x still works. If it does, then you could file a bug report to PM the maintainer.
