Hello,
I am using galaxium 0.7.4.1 from AUR. I wanted to build svn version of galaxium to be able to use jabber and irc support. There is a package named galaxium-svn on AUR. But it is out-of-date. Hence, I decided to build galaxium by myself without any packaging thing. I got source by subversion from trunk like it's told in this page. I built required dependencies and installed. And finally I built galaxium source that I got from svn and installed.
It looked like working at the beginning, on MSN protocol, login was successfull and my contact list is taken from server. However, when i tried to open a conversation window, no window showed up. I runned galaxium from terminal and checked output, there was an error with output:
NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an objectI researched about this error and couldn't find anything important. Is there anybody having same problem? Or any idea about issue?

How would an svn package be out of date? It will pull the latest source automatically.

Well, i mean package is flagged as so.

Well, it doesn't even build for me. But a svn/git/hg package shouldn't be flagged out of date, since it automatically pulls from the version control system.

Did you read my last post? I just mentioned the name of package, all i told has nothing to do with galaxium-svn package.

Well, I'm suggesting that you should attempt to make the package work, as opposed to littering your system with files by building it yourself.

The PKGBUILD of galaxium-svn woks fin, if you add notfy-sharp-svn to the dependencies.

I didn't have problem building and installing galaxium-svn. As I said, openning new conversation window didn't use to work. However, I got an older revision snapshot from svn (1557, from launchpad), built and installed it, and it is working now.
