vlc doesn't hide kde panels in fullscreen mode

This has happened after the kde4.3.3 update. Anyone facing this problem? I thought about reporting a bug but I don't think it qualifies as a bug to be submitted to Arch since it was confirmed by slackware users in LQ forum as well. Let me know if I should.
When I try playing a video in fullscreen I get this :

[0x176d168] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Use 'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 1

Yes, I have this problem too. There is a thread about it on the VLC forums that says the problem is fixed in a development version of VLC. For the time being, I have found that setting the panel to auto-hide is a fairly easy workaround.

Make sure the full-screen video is focused (i.e. click on it), then hit Alt+F3.  Under Advanced, enable Fullscreen.  It's a bit of a pain to do that every time you full-screen a video, but it works.

Thanks for the temporary workaround.
