Manually editing Pacman database?

Hello,

I'd like to know if it's possible to manually edit the Pacman database, e.g. to add a file which already exists on the disk to the list of files owned by an installed package, or to add an installed package to the list of dependencies of another installed package.
If it is possible, could you please provide a short description of how it can be done?

Thanks in advance smile

Sure, edit the files in /var/lib/pacman/local if you really want to...   just don't screw up!

Oh, so it's that easy? Shame on me I haven't figured it out myself! I've actually tried to google for an answer but with no success. Thanks a lot for a speedy and apt reply!
