I have an HP LaserJet 1320.
I have installed cups and hplip. Following the wiki, I blacklisted usblp.
When I go to add a printer, all the shows up are SCSI and various Network choices, but no real printers. I have done this in a previous install before, but for some reason I cannot add the printer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Now I just need to find the right driver! Please help.

Okay, I was able add the printer after restarting the daemon...
But now, I am having a problem with drivers I think. I chose PCL 6 first, and it printed a page that said:
PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalTag
Operator: 0x1b
Position: 1155
So I changed it to PCL 4/5, and got the same thing.

Okay, I got the Gutenprint driver for my Printer but the quality seems kind of low. Does anyone know a good driver for this printer?

I have a working HP printer, and have never blacklisted usblp... as a matter of fact i have it in my modules in rc.conf
I installed hplip and then added the printer in cups. all working fine.

Looks like I got this one solved. Apparently my install of hplip was corrupted, since none of the supposed drivers were available. Reinstalling hplip showed me a wealth of new drivers to try. I found one that seemed to match my printer and it worked.
Thanks for putting up with me anyway, when I am stressed I do rash things.
