Are you connecting through a bridged modem using pppoe? What is your configuration?

No bridged mode here... Im using only username/password to connect to my isp
Edit:
I tryed to connect pppoe-start and /etc/rc.d/adsl start none of them worked.

Sorry for double post but will anyone help me to deal with this problem?

Not really a solution to your problem, but it might be useful if you posted the information about the LAN card. If you posted the information from
lspci
it might be useful for those who are actually in a position to help you pinpoint your problem. Also, if you could post the information from dmesg after a failed attempt to connect, it might also be useful.
