undefined symbol cout

Greets!

I thought I should try out Maya 6 unlimited for linux but have run into a problems.. I can't seem to install the key because of the program "findkey" returns this error:

 ./findkey: symbol lookup error: ./findkey: undefined symbol cout

I've searched the net and found only some hints of what it might be.. and what I think is that it has something to do with gcc or some of it libs.. but that's just a theory.. the program findkey seems to be a binary file.

Well... does anyone knows what this error might be? and how can I get past it?
