64bit flash trouble

Firstly I mkdir ~/.mozilla/plugins
(it is found in my home directory)
THe I copied the libsflashplayer.so file to ~/.mozilla/plugins
then I opened firefox, clicked tools, addons, plugins and it is empty.
So now i have no flash.

Re: 64bit flash trouble

After installing flashplugin i still get error messages when i visit sites using flash, for example Youtube

youtube.com wrote:

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

So I tried to install it manually by getting the tarball from adobe, however the it did not contain the installer script as mentioned on adobes webpage, only libsflashplayer.so. So i copied it to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/, ran chmod -R 755 /usr/lib/mozilla, logged out and then logged in again, but i still get no flash player in firefox. Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: After playing around with it for a while i finally got it to work, not sure exactly what was the problem,  but it works now anyways

Anybody have a high cpu usage with the 64-bit flash plugin? I get around 50-60% with C2D Mobile 1.8GHz
