From the news:

I repost that, because now it will affect all users. In order to get the new vim layout installed you will have to remove some symlinks from the system:
Finally, the new vi* packages are up. There will be a little migration pain. For optimal results, I recommend to "sudo rm /usr/bin/{view,rview}" before you run "sudo pacman -Syu"

iirc , i had deleted the rview link & when you'll install vim, it'll be recreated.
so you can delete the rview for now.

I've been trying a week to install vim unsuccessfully (due to the above conflicts). Each time I thought it was due to all the upgrading going on, so I just "tried again later".
For example this waiting tactic worked with emacs ... I also got conflicts with it, but they cleared.
Interesting to see it was a case of "legacy symlinks" causing the problem with vim ... "vi" was pointing to "ex". Ha! I suppose it could have been worse ... could have been pointing to "ed". Have got to have come from somewhere, those links.
