Installing arch x86_64 on AcerAspire 5920G

I'm installing Arch on AcerAspire 5920G. & i need some help with installation & configuration:
-which driver fits fine with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650?
-x configuration file is empty. what can i do with this?
-how can i copy files from usbdevice to the system without GUI?

Encountered the problem with dead blackscreen with X -config test after installing & configurating all necessary packages:  Xorg (without vesa), mesa, xf86-video-ati, ati-di,  dbus, hal.

Thank you for help (:

Re: Installing arch x86_64 on AcerAspire 5920G

Welcome to the forum!

1. "which driver fits fine with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650?"
- http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/24879 … nload.html
It says xf86-video-radeonhd. You can reach it from extra repository.

2. "x configuration file is empty. what can i do with this?"

More way are given, e.g. bring it from a working system, but the wikipage is the best source for it:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg#Configuring

3. "how can i copy files from usbdevice to the system without GUI?"

cp /mounted/usb/device/file /system/where/you/would/like/to/coppy or
cp -a /mounted/usb/device/file /system/where/you/would/like/to/coppy (for directories) or you can use the 'install' command too similar way.

Re: Installing arch x86_64 on AcerAspire 5920G

djszapi, thank you for your reply, but that site told me about ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650:

"ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Drivers is a property of its respective authors, vendors and developers. You can download ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Drivers for your hardware. If you want to use ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Drivers for other purpose, Please contact the authors, vendors and developers of ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Drivers. "

So i think i should install proprietary driver (i remember that Ubuntu Jaunty tried to install proprietary driver for my video card)

& question about xorg. would be fine to copy xorg.conf from ubuntu to arch?
