openoffice file menu opens by its self

Even if I'm not touching anything, the file menu in openoffice opens on it's own frequently, and it's getting annoying.


Fustrated Windows users have two options.
1. Resort to the throwing of computers out of windows.
2. Resort to the throwing of windows out of computers.

I don't know whether those are related, but I'm experiencing something similar in WinDjView/wine. Sometimes WinDjView menu gets activated, then I see that cursor keys do not scroll a text but open and select menu items.

I'm having this issue on two different computers, someone else must be having the same issue.

I had the same issue.  For me, at least, the problem was caused by running the Totem player.  The short version is that Totem will simulate an ALT keypress every 30 seconds to keep the screen saver from kicking-in.

Not running Totem fixed it for me.  Audacious, Juk, et al. didn't cause a problem.
