Arch 64 Curiosity

I'de Like to hear from Users who use or have run Arch 64 for a while....... is it as stable as 32bit Arch? I've read
that its a bit buggy compared to the other.... but i dunno if I believe that..... How does it run for you????

I installed an extra 2 gigs of ram yesterday, to make 4 Gigs.... and only 3.2 Gigs is recognised....Which is why im thinking of 64bit Arch....

lemme know your opinions on Arch 64.

I like 64-bit Arch but you really should try it yourself and make up your own mind about it.  Should you decide it's not for you, it doesn't cost anything except a little of your time to revert to 32-bit Arch.

I know I can install it and try it for myself.... But I wanted to hear "opinions" on Arch 64 by people who have compared both....  Like I said... I have read some
negative things about Arch 64 bit...and i "HAVE" done a search about it.... But i 'STILL' want to hear opinions about it Before I spend the next 5 hours installing and configuring it to the way I need it to run

I haven't had any strange hurdles using it, but I haven't tried 32-bit to compare it to either.  I have Arch64 on my laptop and desktop.  There's nothing that I want to do that I am unable to do, and I don't have any odd problems that I directly attribute to running 64-bit.

Running x86_64 on my laptop and my desktop. Most the time I forget I am using x86_64.

As others have mentioned a search will find many threads on this topic. Another option would be to investigate using an 64 bit kernel with a 32 bit userland. That has been discussed before as well.

Right, but the thing is you may have an understanding of what others think of 64-bit after reading hundreds or maybe even thousands their of opinions on it, but you still won't know what you think of it until you've actually tried it yourself.  In the end, it will still take the 5 hours or whatever it takes you to install and tweak to come up with your own opinion.

Sorry to bring up an Old Topic.... I didn't realise it was brought up 'THAT' many times... haha. I missed a few threads about it

I'll give it a whirl..... reinstalling it this Arvo
