I'm trying to fix an old drive with Vista and Arch installed, Arch's /boot, swap and / (with /home) were on seperate partitions. /boot and swap are gone, Vista boots fine and I can mount Arch so I assume this is recoverable but I'm not sure what to do.
Could I mount Arch, chroot and recreate the kernel26/fallback.img files with mkinitcpio then reinstall grub? What else would be needed? I think recall a few other things in /boot.
I googled and searched around various other forums for a while but didn't come up with anything.
fdisk -l looks like this (the rest being about 2-3 GiB of unformatted space.)
/dev/sda1 blah blah blah/ntfs
/dev/sda2 blah blah ext3
Thank you for the help.

Reinstalling the kernel and grub should suffice.

You will also have to configure /boot/grub/menu.lst, as it will be gone too.
