Feature request: Automatic maintainer transfer

A lot of packages in the AUR seem to be out of date, and the maintainer is nowhere to be found. I was thinking there should be a way to have maintainer rights automatically transferred to another user once a package has been flagged out of date for more than x days. After say 1 week, users can add themselves to a list of 'would be' maintainers. Others could vote on the users, and after another week, the highest rated would become the maintainer. Are maybe first come first server, idk, but I do know I hate when people don't take care of their packages. >:

Also, if this is already a feature, my bad, I couldn't find anything saying it was.

Firstly, this isn't the bug tracker.

Second, you can have the TU team disown packages that aren't being maintained by emailing the aur-general mailing list.

Well, I figured it was more discussion than bug report, so this seemed like the better place to put it.

I know that you can have it done manually, but I hate to bug people every time a package is out of date and noone is up to update it.

To have some type of tracking system for out of date packages I think would be a nice feature, about the transfer I'm not sure if this is a good idea. I do like the thought that after x amount of time on a flagged package that a list be created as 'possible abandoned' or even the possibility that someone else could adopt the package.
