[SOLVED] newbie question about pacman and yaourt

Hello,

After quite some time setting up Archlinux on my laptop, which was quite a ride getting everything to work.

In any case, I have a question. I have installed the broadcom-wl module via AUR, using yaourt, which works like a charm. Suppose in a few days there's a kernel update. How does pacman handle module recompilation, especially if the module was coming from AUR ?

Thanks !!

It does not.  You will need to rebuild it yourself.

Thanks.

I suppose doing that could be simply just calling yaourt to reinstall the module again no ?

You're welcome. Would be good if you marked thread as [solved], good habit to get into.
