Changing font height?

I'm using Xournal, which I must say, is a GODSEND. Seriously awesome, but anyways, I decided to kind of vamp up my note taking by downloading some fonts, however, some of the fonts get cut off at the top. Is there anyway to manipulate the font height? When I change the font's size, the font still gets cut off, so I think it has to do with the height. If anyone could help me out with this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Your best bet would be to report this to the Xournal devs. Presumably, you only get font cut-off in this one app.
