Harddisk free space lost

Hi,

I recently tried to reduce my NTFS partition by removing some of the free space and to redistribute it to my /home partition so that I would have more free space there. I seemed to manage to do all this with GPARTED. I used gparted loaded on a usb stick to do everything.

However when I restarted arch I got errors and it forced a check on the partition. This turned out to be fine and the partition didn't lose any information. However the extra "free space" is gone. My harddisk is 50GB smaller than it should be.

I ran testdisk and did a "deep analysis" and got the following information:

Disk /dev/sda - 250 GB / 232 GiB - CHS 30401 255 63
Partition               Start        End    Size in sectors
D HPFS - NTFS              0   1  1  7010 254 63  112631652
D HPFS - NTFS              0   1  1 30399 254 63  488375937
D Linux                 7011   0  1  8922 254 63   30716280
D Linux                 8923   0  1 24281 254 63  246742335
D Linux Swap           30019   0  1 30400 254 63    6136830
D Linux Swap           30273   0  1 30400 254 63    2056320

The way things are supposed to be is 4 partitions:

65GB NTFS
15GB /root
165GB /home
3GB SWAP

Any ideas what could be causing the problems?
