[SOLVED] -terminal too wide, need to run "stty columns 120"

After enabling KMS I keep on getting the message "terminal too wide" whenever I go into vim in either yakuake or tty1-6.

Solution is quite simple:

stty columns 120

Thing is, I have to do this on every login. So I thought, put the above line in /etc/rc.local but no joy sad

Where should it be put?

Thanks, a symlink from vi to vim took care of it.
