CUPS upgrade woes

since the last cups upgrade I get the following error from different applications when trying to print:

cupsdoprint: symbol lookup error: cupsdoprint: undefined symbol: strlcpy

any ideas on this one ? I'm still using KDE 3.5 apps...

Re: CUPS upgrade woes

I am assuming you are using kdemod3? If so, cupsdoprint is part of kdemod3-kdelibs. I guess fixing this problem requires a recompilation of  kdemod3-kdelibs against the new cups libraries. You might want to contact the kdemod team at http://chakra-project.org/

Re: CUPS upgrade woes

Just a wild guess: can it be related to the recent breakage of hal (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=87123) which also may affect the hal-cups-utils package? You may try to roll back to the previous version of hal.
