Hi
I start X without a xorg.conf as every conf I tried did not work. Without the conf X works perfectly.
But I now want the terminus font for my WM and pacman installed them in /usr/share/fonts/local
This directory is not recognized by X by default.
Additional font directories are usually specified in the xorg.conf, but I don't have one.
I can manually set the font path with:
mkfontdir
xset fp+ /usr/share/fonts/local
xset fp rehash
I now see the font in xfontsel.
But when I restart X, it's gone..
Is there a way to fix this?

trow it in your wm's xinitrc or startup script?

I was hoping for a more elegant solution, but I guess it's elegant enough
thank you

I recall that terminus works out of the box in Gnome, I am also running X without xorg.conf. Is that different in lightweight WMs?
