Spreadsheet recommendation

Trying to hold off as long as I can before installing the behemoth that is OpenOffice and am wondering what your recos for a standalone spreadsheet program are?

Gnumeric is your best bet. Lightweight Linux spreadsheets are a rarity. The other one I know of (even lighterweight than Gnumeric) is Siag, but development seems to have stopped late 2006: http://siag.nu/siag/

Oh - I forgot: Google Docs. They run in the browser so they may be less snappy than your local app but maybe they'll suit you.
