Probably you need xf86-input-evdev.

Use this as your .xinitrc and tell us what happens
#!/bin/sh
setxkbmap -option terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp
xrandr --dpi 96
exec xterm

oh, this might be a different one.
dpaste.com/134345
and ill try that out

Sth is wrong wrt to the process of putting the logs online.
Can you check the .xinitrc I posted? Maybe nothing is wrong w/ your setup, but as you don't have any WM/DE you may get a black screen by default - unless you run xterm or whatever.

Do you have the correct video drivers installed? Is HAL running? What do you see when you type 'startx'?
Edit:
> xtermn shows up
OK, check HAL and read the wiki Xorg troubleshooting part.

A bunch of stuff comes up, and then the screen goes blank after like 1 second, and then xterm pops up.
How can i tell if HAL is running?
and yes, correct video drivers are running

'ps -A | grep hal'
Is it a new install or did you upgrade?

Put 'hal' in the DAEMONS array in /etc/rc.conf (it's at the very bottom of the file).
Mine looks like this
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng hal @network @crond @alsa !netfs)

NEW INSTALL

nothing happens when i added that to the file and tried to startx

Run 'groups <username>' but with your username - I would run 'groups karol'.
If you have xorg.conf, remove it / rename it and try to run 'startx' again.

Ok, if Xorg log cannot be posted, can you retell us lines from it starting with (EE)?
