xf86-video-ati Black screen after maximizing window

Hey....
I just installed my video card with xf86-video-ati driver, and it works well until I maximize a window or I move a window beyond the limits of the screen... after doing that,  the computer freezes and I have to turn it off....

Any ideas?.... I try using xorg.conf and not using it, but in both cases the same happens.......

My card is an ATI radeon xpress 200M :S

Re: xf86-video-ati Black screen after maximizing window

- What window manager are you using / did you try different ones?
- Tried a lower screen resolution / colour depth (/anything else that frees up video ram)?

(Also: if you're using compiz/emerald, try turning off the window shadows and other effects that are "cast outside" the windows.)
