[Solved] [XFCE] Unable to go to stanby after upgrading HAL

Hello,

Since I upgraded HAL to version 0.5.14-1 I can no longer to standby mode. I get a warning box saying that standby is only available with HAL and that HAL is not available.  I checked with ps and hal is started.

Check if you upgraded pm-utils, this handles standby modes.

Btw, this is neither Xfce-specific nor a pacman upgrade issue, the package itself is fine, loss of functionality is due to code changes and not to package errors wink.

Solved when upgrading consolekit to version 0.4.1-2. Besides standby the automount was not working as well. Similar to this thread:
