This is not really an issue with Arch Linux only, as I had the isse with Ubuntu as well. I have no sound, and I don't know why. Help is appreciated.

Re: [SOLVED] No sound...

Add your user to audio, log out/in, run alsamixer and turn up and unmute all the relevant channels.

If it still won't work, try alsaconf

My user should be added to audio already, and I don't know how to run alsaconf. Tried running

alsaconf

in terminal nothing happened. Tried installing some alsa packages as well, but still no luck.

Re: [SOLVED] No sound...

Can you tell us about your machine?

At the least, the output of `lspci`.

Re: [SOLVED] No sound...

Do you have alsa-utils installed? Both alsamixer and alsaconf are in this package. And did you follow http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ALSA?
