Managing an iPod with foobar?

I have a 120GB iPod classic that I manually mount to my notebook whenever I need it. I've scrobbled plays from it using the official last.fm client, and it works with gtkpod. I'd rather not use these programs, however, since foobar with the foo_dop and audioscrobbler plugins manages things better, imo.

foobar runs well enough in WINE, but the foo_dop plugin can't seem to find my iPod to manage. Do you think there is a way to twiddle with WINE's settings in order make the mount point show up like an iPod device would in Windows?
