[solved]Power manager for fluxbox

Hey all,
What do you use as power manager in fluxbox or any  other WMs? I am using xfce4-power-manager but the problem is it doesn't turn off the screen half the times. It's like when it's in mood and I have just boot up my pc, then after the specified time it turns off the monitor but other times it just doesn't work.
I can

xset dpms force off

but that too stays for like a minute. Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.

Regards
sHy

Re: [solved]Power manager for fluxbox

I use xscreensaver ( http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xscreensaver ) with fluxbox - it is very lightweight and you can get it to turn off the screen when you want. You can make the lock screen look prettier ( http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xde … er_theming )

Yeah but I want to save power by turning off the screen automatically.

Try the Xfce power manager (xfce4-power-manager).  You will get blanking, dimming, CPU frequency scaling, and event control all in one program.  And, yes, it works nicely with any window manager or desktop environment.

Re: [solved]Power manager for fluxbox

Wait wait wait...xscreensaver just bring up a screensaver right? It has a power option as well which I set to 5minutes, but it didn't turn off. Are you guys running xscreensaver without xfce4-power-manager? Does it turn off your screen?
