nm-applet won't start

Hi

When I start nm-applet I get this and nothing appears in the Notification area:

** (nm-applet:11585): WARNING **: <WARN> request_name(): Could not acquire the session service as it is already taken. Return: 3

** (nm-applet:11585): WARNING **: <WARN>  constructor(): Couldn't initialize the D-Bus manager.

Does the same as a root, here is my deamons:

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng !network netfs crond hal networkmanager fam)

and my NetworkManager.conf and nm-applet.conf looks like the ones off the wiki.

gnome and I used nm-applet, logging in as a root has no affect and sudo nm-applet also doesn't work.
