Framebuffer setting in menu.lst not sticking

Well I've done this many times with other Arch installs, but my new laptop is overriding my framebuffer line and making it a really large resolution.  This is preventing me from using vi because the terminal is too wide.
I even deleted the vga command from the line and it still does this.
Any ideas on what's going on?  This screen's native res is 1366x768.

Nevermind........I'll just use vim.  I'm just used to vi, but I'll get over it.

Re: Framebuffer setting in menu.lst not sticking

You can try using uvesafb. You can then specify the resolution in /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb.conf and use 915resolution if necessary.
